The last dash to vote for Who’s Next Competition….come on..do it…I’ll buy you a beer next time I see you…

Thank you to everyone who took the time and voted for m.o.daby design over at the Who’s Next home design competition.

The voting ends on Thursday and I am at the mercy of all of you to make the short list into the next round of judging.  I am attempting to collect another 150-200 votes in the next 4 days.  This is a tall order without all of your help.  If you haven’t voted please do so now, and I would appreciate it if you forwarded this message to everyone you know that could also cast a vote and forward on to their friends.  It’s going to take an impressive forwarding network to make our voting goal, but that’s what the internet is for right?

Here is the link again (and my original description message).  Just 3 or 4 more clicks of the mouse to vote….

“I’ve entered a home design competition, and part of the judging involves public voting.  I would appreciate it if you took a minute or three to go to the webpage below, have a look at my design, and cast a vote.  The website will ask you to check your email to confirm your vote.  The voting period ends March 17.”

custom board for leif.

so…
i had an old wooden board laying around that my stepfather had found at goodwill.
i figured my son still did not have his first board, and that it was past time for him to have one.
(gotta start them as early as possible)…
i bought a little mouse sander, some polyurethane varnish, new wheels and other hardware, and went to work.
the results are shown below.
it was a super easy project, done for little cash…
and i consider it completely worth it.
compare my son’s first board to the walmart crap most kids get and you see why:

leif's wooden banana board.

no griptape yet because he can't stand on it yet. (click for larger image)

note the sweet cadillac wheels:

old school cool.

the little guy loves pushing it all over the house.
here he is getting his thrash on, at least as well as an 11 month old can…

skate and destroy.

a little trip up the mountain with b.

pretty cool shit…

A Night at the OTC Bowl.

the 3rd lair otc session got a little crazy last night, and craig and i did not get our fill, so we headed over to the otc bowl for dessert.
