so…
i had an old wooden board laying around that my stepfather had found at goodwill.
i figured my son still did not have his first board, and that it was past time for him to have one.
(gotta start them as early as possible)…
i bought a little mouse sander, some polyurethane varnish, new wheels and other hardware, and went to work.
the results are shown below.
it was a super easy project, done for little cash…
and i consider it completely worth it.
compare my son’s first board to the walmart crap most kids get and you see why:
no griptape yet because he can't stand on it yet. (click for larger image)
note the sweet cadillac wheels:
old school cool.
the little guy loves pushing it all over the house.
here he is getting his thrash on, at least as well as an 11 month old can…
skate and destroy.
